ECoR win 29th Lalmony Memorial Tournament

East Coast Railway (ECoR), Khurda Road, emerged champions in the 29th All-India Lalmony Memorial Cricket Tournament, defeating South Eastern Railway (Ranchi) in both the T20 and T10 finals at Gandhi ground in Sonepur today.

The champion team, comprising many Ranji Trophy players, received a cash prize of Rs 40,000, while the runners-up side were given Rs 24,000. Odisha Finance Minister Pradip Kumar Amat and Odisha Pisciculture Development Corporation Chairman Abhimanyu Kushal handed over the trophies at the closing function.

Kuldeep Sharma (Ranchi) and Malaya Jena were adjudged the man of the tournament and man of the final match respectively. The prizes for best batsman, best bowler and best wicket-keeper were claimed by Sujit Lenka, Malaya Jena (both Khurda) and Rakesh Tiwari (Ranchi) in the order.

T20 Final: East Coast Railway
145 in 20 overs (Sujit Lenka 58 n.o; Kuldeep Sharma, Ramakant Singh, Ajay Karmakar 2 wkts each) beat South Eastern Railay 103/9 in 20 overs (Kuldeep Sharma 23; Malaya Jena 5/25) by 42 runs.
T10 Final: EC Railway 102 in 10 overs (Prashant Sahoo 40, Sandeep Mulia 30) beat SE Railway 87 in 10 overs (Rakesh Tiwari 28, Jitender 24; Malaya Jena 4/4, Alok Sahoo 2/16) by 15 runs.
